OK lets admit it, everyone is has reused gift bags! That is why you buy the gift bag because it has more than a one time use right? A gift bag has a limited life cycle, economy bags last 1-2 gifting. The mid grade bag may be used 3-4 times. Expensive bags may last 5-6 times. I think when a gift bag looks reused it ought to be thrown away. I think we all need to uphold to the proper etiquette for reusing gift bags 1. never give the bag back to the person you received it from. 2. if you need to reinforce the bag with tape THROW IT AWAY! 3. know when to throw the bag away.
My family has this CRAZY bag that has been reused, re gifted, recycled and re taped. The BAG has taken on it own personality. This may be one of the UGLIEST gift bags I have ever seen. I can't quite remember where this bag first appeared but it now has been passed bag and forth many times. Each one of my sibling has had it at least twice. From my memory I think my sisters mother-in-law was the first to gift it......but this has gone on for years so it is hard to remember. It was in my possession last year up until May where my cute niece Hallie received it with her birthday gifts. It has now shown up back in my house where the Radford Family so wonderfully taped it and reused it. This is now FUNNY when you received "THE BAG". It has become a badge of honor, like going to war and getting the highest award. Who knows which one of my siblings will received the ugly bag....or how long the bag can last. You know that you are truly special when this BAG returns back to you. So lucky me with all these future birthdays coming up! It is like spin the bottle nobody knows who will end up with it next.

I have never played spin the bottle so I can't relate to the analogy of the gift bag and that game!!!!!lol However when I get a bag out and not sure where it came from I have to go find another one and wonder when it will how back up at my house-
I hope someday I get your special bag- I think it is cute.
I LOVE THAT BAG!! HA HA! When I have the bag, I have to get rid of it any occasion that I can. I think I may have given it to McKenzie more than once! So sorry, it's just such a funny bag it would be a shame to throw it away!
Now THAT is FUNNY!!!!! We also have a special pass along in our family, but it is known as the "BOF": the Bag O' Fun which contains various special items that we regift to our siblings. If you are the recipient of the BOF, you can consider yourself extra special. :-)
Here is a little history lesson, One day before we bought our house we were living with Matt's parents. We had bough a birthday present, I am assuming Hallie's since it was May. Matt and I decided to play instead of being responsible so Matt's wonderful mother "wrapped" the present for us. Knowing it was ugly I instantly apologized when I showed up with it. After all I did not have the heart to tell Matt's mom that it was ugly (she stated herself that it was ugly and offered to buy another one for us). So the story goes, it has been passed between you, Heather, and mom. I am not sure how, but I have been able to avoid the bag.
As for throwing the bag away, I think this one will never die. It has became a legend.

I need some tips on how you do that. My little girls are out of control some days. And getting them to stay in bed and go to sleep at night takes me about 3 hours. HELP ME!!
